We are making progress with the P.O. wagon brakes and still hope to have the wagon kit on the market in September. The laser cut stainless steel brake pushrods arrived this week and are quite exquisite. Steel V hangers for P.O. and LNWR wagons are now available and will be added to the web site soon. Whitemetal parts to complete the brakegear are now expected in ten days time.
Our first kit, for the LNWR D1 open goods wagon, is now SOLD OUT. If you are interested please get in touch, and if there is sufficient interest we may make a further small batch sometime in 2005. All other kits and parts are still available.
It is amazing what some people ask you to make in this hobby. Making patterns for model railway vehicles in one of the standard model scales is one thing, even patterns for military models can be interesting, but this week we were asked to tender for the supply of 200 railway carriage bogies. That is a lot of bogies, especially as they were full size - 12in/1ft. We reluctantly declined.
