Gauge 3 Modelling News

9-Jul-10

The year seems to be flying by and we still have models we want to introduce.

The LBSC van is now complete and available at £140. That is one of our more expensive kits, simply because it is a big van and also has double brakes both sides. The body is one-piece except for the roof which is a separate resin casting. The artwork for transfers is being drawn up now, but we believe that GRS already have suitable transfers for the Southern period.

The GWR V6 Mink is also complete and available at £125. Transfers for that will be rub-down instead of waterslide and delivery is expected any day. The mink has a one-piece resin body with etched brass roof, and our usual laser cut steel W irons, whitemetal dummy leaf springs and cast brass axleboxes. As with all of our kits, it comes complete with wheels and couplings.

The long-awaited LNWR D22 large cattle wagon is complete but we are awaiting feedback from a test customer before release. This will also be £140 because the body casting is very complex, being in one-piece complete with cast-in steel bars towards the top of each side and a very detailed floor. The roof is a separate resin casting, as is the movable partition.

Unless collected, all wagon kits are sent by Special Delivery, the cost of which is £8.

Finally, we will be at the ALSRM York show on 23rd October, so why not come along and save the postage cost?
